Miami Heat's Dwayne Wade Teams Up With Chef Adrianne Calvo For Basketball Camps
Dwayne Wade, of the Miami Heat, has a lot more to do than to just compete in the NBA finals.
He is also getting ready to host his Dwayne Wade Basketball Pro Camp. The Heat guard and gold medalist is working with Pro Camps to host his All Star camp.
Celebrity chef Adrianne Calvo is joining him this year in creating the menu for the luncheon thanking the coaches, sponsors, and organizers who helped make the camp possible.
Chef Adrianne will be serving sweet corn tomalito and short ribs, among some other of her favorite famous dishes.
"There will supposedly be a lot of men," Chef Adrianne said, "so we're providing a really hearty meal." Wade himself will also be attending the luncheon on June 28 in support of the camp and those who helped out. It will take place at the Nova South Eastern University.
Chef Adrianne has been working helping children in South Florida through the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and other charities by working in the kitchen. Her "Maximum Flavor" dishes have been featured on Food Network, NBC, Univision, Fox, and others.
Chef Adrianne's Vineyard Restaurant and Wine Bar in Miami has been featured on Urbanspoon's Miami "Top Rated" and "Most Popular" lists.
"I'm honored. I'm speechless pretty much," Chef Adrianne said about the chance to host the luncheon. "There's a million chefs out here, so it's a huge honor."
The Miami Heat is currently in the lead 2-1 in the final series against the Oklahoma Thunder.
