McDonald's Japan Debuts Three Crème Brûlée Drinks
McDonald's Japan is getting a reputation for teasing the rest of the world with fancy-sounding limited-time offerings that are only available in Japan, and this week they announced three new drinks all based on crème brûlée.
According to Rocket News 24, McDonald's Japan's new drinks include a crème brûlée frappe, which is basically a giant, ice-blended crème brûlée-flavored concoction topped with crème brûlée whipped cream, caramel sauce, and crumbled cookies. If all that sugar isn't enough to get a person hopping there's also a latte version with a shot of espresso in crème brûlée latte, topped with the whipped cream and crumbled cookies. Somewhere between those two drinks lies the iced crème brûlée latte, which is an iced version of the latte topped with so much whipped cream, syrup, and cookie pieces that it looks more like a sundae than an espresso drink.
All three drinks are already available at McDonald's McCafe locations in Japan, but only for a limited time before they're replaced with some other fancy new drink that will make the rest of the world jealous.
