McDonald's Japan Rolls Out Cherry Blossom McFlurry
One of the first signs of spring in Japan is when all the restaurants, groceries, and convenience stores start rolling out a flurry of cherry-blossom-themed limited-time offerings. So far this year Japan has seen cherry blossom Coca-Cola and even cherry blossom beer, and now McDonald's Japan has come out with a 2017 limited edition of its own, and it's a cherry blossom McFlurry.
According to Rocket News 24, McDonald's Japan is offering a McFlurry Crunchy Sakura, which is soft serve ice cream mixed with salt-pickled cherry leaves and crushed pink waffle cone bits to make it crunchy. Cherry blossoms do not last long on the trees, and cherry blossom mania is short-lived event too, so the McFlurry Crunchy Sakura will only be available until April. In the meantime, they're available at McDonald's restaurants across Japan for about $2.60 a cup.
