Sorprendente at Oliverio Comes to Avalon Hotel
The second annual Sorprendente festival will be held May 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills. This poolside food festival will feature wine, cocktails, pasta, and seafood. $85 per person, tickets available here.
Chef Ben Ford Publishes Taming of the Feast

Restaurant High: Rock the Obstacles Comes to LA Live

Patina Celebrates 15th Season at Hollywood Bowl
Patina Restaurant Group returns for its 15th season providing cuisine at the Hollywood Bowl. Offerings include the al fresco wine bar and lounge, a la carte menu items for box seat holders from restaurants like Nishi Sushi Bar and Staccato, as well as custom picnic baskets.
Reopening of The Must Wine Bar Downtown
The Must Wine Bar reopens downtown with a new location, menu and chef. Over 100 wines are available to pair with chef Drew Coleman's menu.

Marina Del Rey's Café Del Rey pays tribute to modern steakhouses by beefing up their primarily seafood menu with two new steak dishes. Both the Wagyu New York Steak and Chateau Filet have been added to the Spring menu.
End Hunger Gala at 57

Adoteca Announces Wine Dinners
Brentwood's Adoteca is paring with wineries in Piedmont Italy to offer wine paired prix fixe menus on May 12 and 28. Menus include appetizers, pasta, a first and second course, and dessert. $75 and $85.

Hotel Casa Del Mar's new café and lounge, Terrazza, is opening in late May at the seaside resort. The new design features handmade heated ceramic tiles, hand carved Italian wooden tables and a textured raffia ceiling. The menu will blend Italian and Californian cuisine.
La Sandia Hosts Guacamole Festival
Santa Monica's La Sandia is offering five different types of guacamole throughout May. Each is inspired by a different region in Mexico and is prepared tableside.
