LA Loves Alex's Lemonade Stand Makes Lemonade For A Cause
Celebrities, chefs, and mixologists are teaming up for the third annual L.A. Loves Alex's Lemonade Stand on Sept. 29 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the Culver Studios Mansion's lawn in Culver City, Calif., to raise funds for the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.
Chef Suzanne Goin of Los Angeles trio Tavern, A.O.C. Wine Bar and Restaurant, and Lucques and her husband chef David Lentz of The Hungry Cat in Los Angeles are hosting the annual event along with co-hosts actor Neil Patrick Harris, actor and chef David Burtka, and comedian Jimmy Kimmel, according to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.
Some 40 of the U.S.'s top chefs and mixologists, including Food Network chef Giada De Laurentiis who hosts Giada at Home, cookbook author and chef Nancy Silverton, and a duo of chefs named in The Daily Meal's 35 Best Pizzas in America 2012: Matt Molina of Pizzeria Mozza and Osteria Mozza in Los Angeles, and Chris Bianco of Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix.
For those on the East Coast hoping to get in on action, New York City is hosting its second annual Lemon:NYC, the newest of Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation's events on Oct. 23. Celebrity chefs, such as Food Network host and chef Tyler Florence, Iron Chef America contender Marc Forgione, who owns his namesake Marc Forgione in New York City, and Food Network personality Alexandra "Alex" Guarnaschelli who is executive chef at Butter and The Darby in New York City, are schedule to attend the fundraiser.
