KISS' Gene Simmons To Open Restaurant
Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jon Bon Jovi, and Flava Flav aren't the only musicians opening a restaurant; Gene Simmons of KISS has announced his restaurant, blandly called Rock & Brews.
Along with with L.A. restaurateur Michael Zislis and concert promoter Dave Furano, Simmons and Co. have designed a themed menu of "Opening Acts" appetizers, "VIP" salads, burgers, "Headliner" sandwiches, "Front Row" pizzas, and "Encores" desserts. Really.
To go along with the concert theme, Rock & Brews will supposedly have "an ambiance reminiscent of being backstage at a rock event," with picnic tables, concert lighting, and projection screens and speakers for continuous concert videos and live recordings.
The restaurant will be in El Segundo, Calif., opening April 3. Simmons' rock restaurant plans to open in Denver, Atlanta, Tokyo, and more within the next two years.
