Celebrate July 4th With These Boston Restaurants
Celebrate American Independence in Boston on July 4th at any one of these tasty red, white, and blue celebrations.
From 11:30 am to 11 pm on the 4th, Top Chef star Tiffani Faison will be cooking up a traditional American BBQ. Enjoy their outdoor space while sipping any of their diverse beers or cocktails served in mason jars, along with buttermilk fried chicken and great northern brisket and southern sides. Come early, stay late, and don't even think about leaving without having had your share of their buttermilk biscuits.
In true French/American spirit, Robert Sisca and his team at Bistro du Midi will honor both French and American independence days. From the 4th to the 14th, a special '714' (7 choices, 1 price, 4 courses) prix fix menu with cocktail pairings will be available for those who want to celebrate. It's 7 choices, 1 price, and 4 courses, all for just $45 a person.
Over in Cambridge, Dante de Magistris has teamed up with Mayflower Brewing Company to throw an all-American bash on the 4th. Cocktail hour begins at 6:30, followed by a three-course, seated meal of dishes paired expertly with Mayflower brews and a dessert course to round things off on a sweet note. It will make for a perfect kick-off to the fireworks over the Esplanade!
Tryst in Arlington extends their special BBQ over an entire week to celebrate the US of A. From the 30th of June – 8th of July, visit this award winning restaurant for BBQ oysters, fried green tomatoes, and cornmeal fried chicken among other delicious offerings. All items are a la carte, so order one, or order them all – create your own BBQ extravaganza!
Over in the Navy Yard, Pier 6 gives guests a wonderful view of the USS Constitution as she makes her annual turnaround cruise in commemoration of all those who served, fought, and sacrificed for American independence. Head out on the patio bar beginning at noon for drinks and snacks, or sit in for a meal as all of the fanfare happens around you. Note: This will be the last time to see the turnaround before the USS Constitution enters a restoration period for the next three years.
Enjoy the day outdoors at Revere's rooftop bar and pool, outfitted with cabanas and lounges. Saunter up to the popup oyster shucking bar for $1 oysters from 11 am- 5 pm. A Patriotic Picnic will also be served with fruit, artisanal cheese, bread and a bottle of rose – sunscreen included. Picnic baskets will be offered Friday July 4th and Saturday July 5th and must be ordered three days in advance. There's a $30 entrance fee before 5 o'clock, but admission is free from 5pm- 12 am.
