Joe's Crab Shack Opens Manhattan Location
New Yorkers have been subjected to commercials for Houston-based Joe's Crab Shack, which has 120 locations in 28 states, for years now, without having the opportunity to eat at one within city limits. All that's finally changing, as the company finally opened their first New York outpost this week on the corner of 125th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard, in Harlem, Restaurant News Release is reporting.
The 10,000 square foot restaurant can accommodate 380 guests at a time, and employs about 170.
The seafood-oriented restaurant is best known for its laid-back style and crab pots seasoned with Southern spices. This new location reportedly offers a handful of special summer menu items, including pots finished with Corona beer. The restaurant will open at 11 a.m. daily, and will close at midnight Sunday through Thursday and at 2 a.m. on the weekends.
Joe's is owned by Ignite Restaurant Group, which also runs Romano's Macaroni Grill and Brick House Tavern + Tap.
