How To Keep Berries Fresh
Because it's summer and berries are the perfect sweet and healthy treat, here are some simple tricks that will help keep your berries fresher, longer.
Wash the berries in a bowl with three cups water mixed with one cup of white vinegar (apple cider vinegar works too). Next, drain the berries in a colander and rinse with clean, running water. Blot the berries with a paper towel until they are fully dry. Store them in a paper-lined sealable container. It's recommended keep the lid slightly open to allow excess moisture to escape. This should keep your berries fresh for up to two weeks.
