Make Your Table Go Green This St. Paddy's Day With These Beautiful Green Blossoms
Needless to say, with all of the St. Paddy's Day celebrations in the works, the Blooming Idiot Florist receives many requests for floral designs. From dinner parties to receptions to private parties and various celebrations, we are prepared to deliver. The theme is green — green everything! And that's not as easy to pull off as you'd expect.
Everyone's looking for green arrangements this time of year: We have even been called upon to provide boutonnières and corsages for parade committee members. But most of our requests are for centerpieces and other assorted floral designs. Depending on the venue or the gesture, the design can be as sophisticated as desired — or extremely whimsical. Regardless of the style, floral spray paints and dyes come in very handy for this particular occasion.
Of course, there is a bounty of green blooms to choose from. Oftentimes, however, our clients have a specific vision for their design which may or may not match up with naturally occurring flowers —unfortunately, nature does not provide us with a Kelly green bloom. We are not advocates of dying or spraying flora, but sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do.
More often than not, we are able to steer our clients toward more natural designs, featuring green roses, hydrangeas, spider mums, green trick dianthus, amaranthus, button poms, etc. However, we won't say no to a Kelly green theme, because, at the end of the day, we just want to make sure our clients get what they ask for. It really is quite satisfying to meet the customer's expectations. So we will continue to spray and dip-dye the blooms to meet (and hopefully exceed) their visions. It's all about giving the customer what they want.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
