Father's Day Food And Drink Specials Around Chicago

Father's Day doesn't quite bring out the brunch crowd the way its matriarchal counterpart does, but, hey, dads like to eat too. Chicago establishments understand this, at least, and although the offerings are more varied, there are plenty of different food and drink deals at restaurants and bars around the city this weekend (and most of them will surely have the golf match on TV).

So pull dad away from the grill, and let someone else handle the grub so you can get some quality family time.

Bar Roma: Several special brunch items are on the menu for Father's Day, including a sweet corn, dungeness crab souffle ($9) and a duck confit entree ($16). The Andersonville restaurant's main highlight, however, is a complimentary bombolino (Italian doughnut) with whiskey caramel sauce for all the dads. Reservations available, 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Sunday, 5101 N. Clark St., 773-942-7572

Bistronomic: If dad's feeling a little fancy, the French-inspired restaurant is offering a two-course prix-fixe brunch menu ($26), with starters like a Caesar salad or chicken liver mousse and entrees such as eggs benedict or Le French Burger. An additional $15 will make your mimosas bottomless, while the 12-and-under crowd can dine for $12. Reservations recommended, 9:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. Sunday, 840 N. Wabash Ave., 312-944-8400
