Hakkasan Beverly Hills Offers Special Lunch Menu
Located in the MGM building in the heart of Beverly Hills, Hakkasan is now offering a "Taste of Hakkasan" special lunch menu.
The 10,000 square foot restaurant specializing in modern versions of traditional Cantonese food is offering diners a chance to taste standout dishes during the middle of the day. The new menu, with a set price of $29, highlights a few of Michelin-starred Chef Ho Chee Boon's signature items.
The 90210 is the 11th location of the Hakkasan brand, following openings most recently in San Francisco and Las Vegas. Upon entering the 10,000 square foot restaurant, diners experience the smell of burning Jasmine incense before heading to one of six "caged" dining areas all in view of the sleek neon-blue 66-foot bar. Carved Chinese screens separate the dining areas, providing an intimate atmosphere.
The "Taste of Hakkasan" lunch menu offers diners a chose of appetizers including steamed dim sum scallop shumai, har gau, prawn and Chinese chive dumpling; Hakka fried dim sum platter including a gold crispy duck roll and Sesame prawn toast; or stir-fry mushroom lettuce wrap. Choices for the main course, which come with Jasmine or egg fried rice, include spicy prawn with lily bulb and almond, Sanpei chicken claypot; or their famous stir-fry sea bass in a black bean sauce. Homemade macaroons, ice cream and sorbet round out the tasting menu.
Cocktails are also a big draw with a drink menu featuring classic cocktails as well as exotic one of a kind inventive libations. Stand-outs include the Golden Emperor made with Kraken Black Spiced rum, pineapple, cinnamon, ginger, lemon and agave nectar; the Saffron Poire combining pear vodka, nigori sake, Lillet Rouge, lemon and saffron; and the Smoky Negroni, served tableside with a smoke infusion, mixing vermouth, gin and Campari.
