Created by bartender Adam Harness, this riff on the pre-Prohibition Hair of the Lion cocktail replaces whiskey with rum and adds egg white.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounce appleton estate reserve rum
  • 1/2 ounce st. elizabeth allspice dram
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 egg white
  • ice
  • freshly grated nutmeg

Directions

  1. Shake the liquid ingredients vigorously with ice and strain into coupe. Garnish with nutmeg.
