Green Bagels Land In Seattle For St. Paddy's Day

Make like Dr. Seuss and color your breakfast green with green bagels — egg bagels dyed as bright as a leprechaun's hat.  Part Irish, part Jewish, green bagels are all delicious in spite of their utterly unnatural hue. For a patriotic sandwich, top your bagel with lox & schmear, creating an edible Irish flag of orange, white, and green. For those who fancy Irish food and prefer a calm, charming café to a raucous, Irish pub, head to Capitol Hill's Volunteer Park Café. On the eve of St. Patty's, March 16th, their Sunday Supper featuring a menu of Emerald Isle classics.  Enjoy Irish soda bread, stout–glazed corned beef, lamb shepherd's pie, and a Guiness float with house-made Bailey's ice cream.  Dinner is $40 at 6pm, and reservations are required.
