Gail Simmons Is Expecting Her First Child

A giant congratulations to Canadian culinary expert, food writer, author, and Top Chef judge Gail Simmons and her husband Jeremy Abrams, who are expecting their first child this winter, according to People magazine.

Simmons and her husband, who is the head of the music programming company Audiostiles, have been married since 2008 — you may have seen their gorgeous farmers' market-themed wedding featured in Martha Stewart's Weddings.

Last year, Simmons released a wildly successful cooking memoir, Talking with My Mouth Full (which may now need a sequel...), and her child will join a Top Chef family that includes fellow judge Padma Lakshmi's daughter, Krishna, Tom Colicchio's three sons, and Curtis Stone's 1 ½-year-old son, Hudson. Could they be the next generation of celebrity chefs and culinary television personalities?

In the months to come, we hope to get a glimpse at her baby shower menu and maybe even some of her pregnancy cravings.
