This Little Girl Had A Costco-Themed Birthday Party
While parents are going wild coming up with the perfect princess or ninja turtle birthday party themes, a five-year-old from North Carolina may have just come up with the best birthday party idea ever, because it was all Costco themed and everything came in bulk.
According to The Huffington Post, Kimber Walker told her mother that she wanted a Costco party for her fifth birthday. Lots of birthday parties are probably stocked with things purchased from Costco, but Kimber Walker wanted an actual Costco-themed party, complete with a check-out lane, Costco membership cards, and sample stations where kids could taste-test mini hot dogs and chips.
The birthday cake was an enormous Costco "Employee of the Month" sign thanking Kimber Walker for five years of service. It came from Costco, of course, as did the Kirkland-branded pizza and ice cream. The local Costco even made a little employee badge for her.
"She is obsessed with Costco," Niki Walker said to The Huffington Post. "We served hotdogs and pizza, set up sample stations, printed dollars with her face on them, had Costco pizza and Kirkland ice cream. We also had a little shop set up, and everyone designed their own 'membership cards.'"
All the kids reportedly loved the unconventional birthday theme, and the giant goodie bags of bulk-purchased snacks they got to take home with them.
