Feasting Flights Of Fancy
Barcelona's Hotel Arts is taking lunch to new heights, literally. In honor of their new Arts Suite, the hotel is offering its guests the chance to have a Michelin-starred helicopter lunch.
Guests who book a stay in the new Arts Suite, or the Royal or Presidential Suite, can travel from the hotel, which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, to one of three Michelin-starred restaurants via helicopter. The CatHelicopters heliport is five minutes from the hotel, and diners not only get a convenient trip to lunch but a seat at some of the hottest tables in Catalonia.
Barcelona is one of the European cities with a high concentration of Michelin-starred restaurants. Diners can choose from three-Michelin-starred El Celler de Can Roca in Girona helmed by chef Joan Roca, two-Michelin-starred Miramar in Llançà headed by chef Paco Pérez, and two-Michelin-starred Les Cols in Olot led by chef Fina Puigdevall.
Reservations are required and rates for the Arts Suite start at €7,000 per night. The helicopter lunch costs €4,000 per couple. One week advanced reservation is required.
