Estancia La Jolla Gears Up For Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Drats! You missed the lottery for this year's White House Easter Egg Roll.
It ended March 10 so you probably won't be one of the 30,000 rolling eggs with the First Family on the South Lawn at the 136th annual event on April 21.
But it's not too late to participate in another Easter Egg hunt on another lawn that, quite frankly, is every bit as impressive.
Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, a 9.5-acre retreat overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Torrey Pines (gotta admit, it kinda one-ups D.C. in the scenery department) is hosting an Easter Egg hunt to go along with their annual brunch. In fact, there are two hunts, at 11 a.m and 1 p.m., on the gorgeous property's Olive Lawn. And the best part is you don't have to enter a lottery.
Estancia, a four-diamond hotel with 210 rooms, a spa and three restaurants, is as well-known for its lawns as it is for its facilities. Once a famous equestrian center, it has three beautifully-manicured lawns with plants and trees from around the world. The Olive Lawn, where the Easter Egg hunt will take place, is a Mediterranean-style garden near the Adobe El Restaurante.
And while Michelle, Sasha and Malia won't be there, the Easter Egg Hunt at Estancia La Jolla will be just as much fun. And you won't be hounded by Secret Service.
