You Can Register For Your Wedding At Costco
Creating a wedding registry is all about defining your style as a couple — choosing bedding, picking a china pattern, and... buying bulk quantities of Fig Newtons.
Thanks to a partnership between MyRegistry.com and Costco, engaged couples can now register for their favorite rotisserie chicken, large quantities of toilet paper, and reasonably priced televisions to feather their newlywed nests. A quick registration through the third-party site redirects you to the Costco homepage, where you can click away and add any product to your registry. (You can also create a baby shower or "other" registry as well, to mark other life moments.)
This is Costco's latest step into the wedding-industrial complex. Its matrimonial momentum includes everything from the invitations to the honeymoon and everything in between. Need flowers? Go to Costco. Need snacks and appetizers for the events leading up to the big day? Costco has you covered.
Its foray into the segment hasn't been completely smooth sailing though. A line of engagement and wedding rings dubbed "Tiffany" landed the company in hot water with the luxury jeweler of the same name. Now, Costco owes Tiffany and Co. more than $19 million.
In this age of online shopping and flexible registries, it's no surprise that Costco is looking to be your one-stop shop for all the wedding bells and whistles.
