WATCH: Stephen Colbert Helps Jake Gyllenhaal Responds To Amy Schumer's Cake Theft

After finding out from The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that Amy Schumer made herself more than welcome in his home by eating his leftover cake — on more than one occasion — Jake Gyllenhaal had the chance to confront Amy, via late night television.

Colbert, who hosted Gyllenhaal on his program just days after Schumer, was thoughtful enough to provide him with an exact replica of the cake she often ate while she rented his Los Angeles apartment.

"I would get drunk and I would eat it, and I would talk as if he were there, and I was at the party that the cake was served at," Schumer admitted to Colbert, even going so far as to provide video footage of one indulgent occasion.

Less than a week later, Gyllenhaal was presented with a version of his long lost cake, and promptly bit directly into a corner of the cake, à la Amy. Not wanting to miss out on the fun, Colbert himself then leaned over to take his own bite from the cake — only to find himself, much to his own surprise, obeying Jake's orders to "bite where I bit."
