The Best Of Red Carpet Fashion, In Cookie Form
Everyone is still buzzing about who really were the best-dressed celebrities on Hollywood's glamorous red carpet last night. There were so many stunning, shimmering dresses which truly amazed us at the 88th Academy Awards: We couldn't take our eyes away from the screen for the whole evening.
It was hard to pick favorite dresses from the night as so many stood out, and there was such a wonderful range. From Jennifer Lawrence's sultry Dior lace gown, to Saoirse Ronan's glittering green Calvin Klein dress, they really were the dresses that dreams are made of.
They were so beautiful, that they inspired New York's master baker Patti Paige of Baked Ideas to transform these dresses into cookies. Edible Oscars dresses: We honestly can't think of anything better. She chose her three favorite looks of the night, and, in partnership with Reynolds, built her own unique gown-shaped cookie cutters and set about decorating. The results are absolutely adorable, and are just as unbelievably beautiful as the dresses.
Alicia Vikander
Alicia's stunning, pale yellow Louis Vuitton gown with glittering embroidered detail had everyone immediately comparing her to Belle from Beauty and the Beast. A fairytale dress come true. Paige has even managed to transfer the beautiful raised front hem of this gown into cookie format: The designers at Louis Vuitton would be so proud of this sugar recreation of their work.
Brie Larson
Work began on Brie Larson's custom-made Gucci gown in December, so it's no surprise that she looked utterly perfect on Sunday night. The striking royal blue color and the ruffled, voluminous skirt made for a sophisticated stand-out show on the red carpet. We'd definitely find it hard to destruct the perfection of this designer cookie by taking a bite out of it.
Cate Blanchett
Cate Blanchett stunned everyone in this delicate seafoam gown, embellished with delicate florals. This Armani Privé dress transformed her into a magical mermaid, which Patti Paige has perfectly transformed into an intricately decorated sugar cookie.
