NBA Miami Heat player LeBron "King" James pulled out all the stops for his 26th royal-themed birthday bash at the Coco de Ville Lounge in Miami Beach's Gavensvoort Hotel. His five-tiered birthday cake was made by local bakery Divine Delicacies, and was one of the hottest topics of the night.
SET Magazine oversaw the cake design, and collaborated closely with the Miami bakery. The magazine's event coordinator, Prinses Hemphill, shared the extravagant details of the cake, explaining, "It was a one-of-a-kind five-tiered cake, each layer a different flavor: vanilla rum, Godiva chocolate, marble, red velvet and guava — a signature flavor that was originally created for Gloria Estefan's daughter. Overall, the cake stood about 6 feet tall and featured 14K gold flakes, [more than] 10,000 Swarovski crystals, and was topped with a crown — it was incredible to say the least!"
Tom Cruise's 50th Birthday Cake
In 2012, Tom Cruise received an Entertainment Icon Award from the Friars Club, which happened to coincide with his 50th birthday. To celebrate, he was presented with an ornate cake by Palermo's Bakery in New Jersey.
The caked showcased his different roles throughout his acting career, including a miniature version of himself in a button-down shirt and underwear à la Risky Business and a replica of the plane from Top Gun. A Tom Cruise bust topped off the elaborate confection.
Snooki's 23rd Birthday Cake
To celebrate her 23rd birthday in 2010, Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi threw a lavish party at Pacha nightclub in New York City. The birthday girl wore a strapless white ostrich-feathered mini dress and a tiara to her LifeStyles Condoms-sponsored party. She ordered her cake from Carlo's Bakery, made famous by TLC's Cake Boss.
The four-tiered pink, white, and animal-printed square cake was topped with a bust of the reality TV star herself. To make her birthday even more special, Sean Kingston performed.
Demi Lovato's 19th Birthday Cake
In 2011, Demi Lovato celebrated her 19th birthday at Beacher's Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. Her candy-themed party was catered by the Sugar Factory, who served her favorite candies, including Sour Patch Watermelons, strawberry licorice, Hot Tamales, and the Sugar Factory's signature Couture Pops.
Her birthday cake was in the shape of a tall pink Los Angeles building, in honor of her newly released single, "Skyscraper." Small palm trees and Oompa Loompas decorated its base, while a picture of the singer graced the side of the edible monument.
Miranda Cosgrove's 18th Birthday Cake
For her 18th birthday in 2011, iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove celebrated in Memphis with costars and friends from sister TV show Victorious. Her extravagant six-tiered birthday cake was surrounded by sushi-shaped cupcakes, all ordered from The Flour Garden bakery. The brightly colored cake had a fun house theme — each layer floated in different directions, and the giant construction was topped with an oversized cupcake for added drama.
Natalie Cole's 60th Birthday Cake
In honor of R&B artist Natalie Cole's 60th birthday in 2010, Lauri Ditunno from Cake Alchemy in Manhattan created a masterpiece of a cake. The black and white confection towered at six tiers high (each level symbolizing a decade of her life), and was decorated with records on each level. An edible figurine of the singer topped the decadent, musically themed, cake.
Kourtney Kardashian's 31st Birthday Cake
In 2010, Kourtney Kardashian celebrated her 31st birthday at Wet Republic in Las Vegas with a party hosted by Bombay Sapphire gin. During the daytime celebration, she was surprised with a cake towering almost as tall as the reality TV star. Each layer was held up by bottles of gin that acted as columns. The ornate topper was reminiscent of a white and gold Chihuly sculpture, which helped accent the oversized pearl ornaments at the base of each blue and cream cake layer.
P. Diddy's 40th Birthday Cake
In 2010, P. Diddy turned 40. To celebrate with his entourage, he threw a lavish $3 million party in the Grand Ballroom at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. The black-and-white themed party was sponsored by Ciroc, the vodka company that he owns. His black and white cake was decorated with a giant shield bearing his initials, and topped with oversized black candles — every aspect of the party was over the top, in true Diddy style.
The star-studded guest list included Jay-Z, Denzel Washington, Estelle, Kim Kardashian, and Nelly, among many other A-list stars.
Miley Cyrus' 18th Birthday Cake
In 2010, Miley Cyrus celebrated her 18th birthday at (now-closed) Trousdale in West Hollywood with a bohemian-themed bash. Her white and gold tiered circular cake was decorated with hand-carved dream catchers, sugar feathers, gold braids, and sugar turquoise beads.
The party's sweet options didn't end with the cake, though; there was also a dessert bar complete with more than 500 desserts including white sugar cookies with feather designs, red velvet and vanilla cake pops, chocolate mousse, meringue cupcakes, French macaroons, and a plethora of other sweet selections. The entire affair was catered by Long Beach, Calif.'s My Sweet & Saucy.

Tori Spelling is known for the extravagant parties that she throws, and her daughter Stella's third birthday party was no exception. The Hello Kitty-themed bash offered attractions like a giant bouncy castle, Hello Kitty characters, a face painting station, and other kid-friendly activities. The birthday cake was in the shape of a huge Hello Kitty doll, which was even larger than the birthday girl.
As if the cake weren't monumental enough, the dessert bar was even more of an attraction. The pink and white dessert table served Hello Kitty cake pops, pink sugar rocks, sugar cookies, a white double-tier cake, mini cupcakes, and other colorful treats.
Eva Longoria's 36th Birthday Cake
Eva Longoria celebrated her 36th birthday at her (now-closed) nightclub, Eve, in Las Vegas. She wore a pink beaded mini-dress that matched her birthday cake, a gift from Nuvo Sparkling Liqueur (she was a spokesperson for the brand). The five-tiered massive pink cake was decorated with long-stemmed flowers, elaborate detailing, and glittering letters that read "Happy Birthday."
Nicole Richie's 30th Birthday Cake
To ring in her 30th birthday in 2011, Nicole Richie threw a party at the Regent Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills. Her party planner Mindy Weiss chose Cupcakes Couture of Manhattan Beach, Calif., to create the cake — a three-tiered white and gold confection that resembled a rococo piece of art.

Nicki Minaj's 26th Birthday Cake
For her 26th birthday, Nicki Minaj headed to TAO nightclub in Las Vegas. The rapper's cake was Barbie-themed, and crafted by celebrity bakery Gimme Some Sugar. The four-tiered pink cake featured an oversized sugar bow, and was topped with a figurine of Minaj as a Harajuku Barbie, to commemorate her "Pink Friday" album cover.
For the event, she wore her signature blonde wig and a jewel-encrusted nude bodysuit — the pearls draped around her ensemble matched the party's Barbie theme. She was so thrilled with her dessert that she tweeted, "Wait till you see this cake."
Guests included Amber Rose, Cassie, Tyga, and other members of the Young Money clan.
Ashley Greene's 24th Birthday Cake
Ashley Greene celebrated her 24th birthday at Pure nightclub in Las Vegas with a Candy Land-themed party. The large cake looked like a giant Candy Land castle, embellished with ice cream scoops on each corner. Candy canes decorated the entire baked extravaganza, as well as sprinkles and other candy-inspired details.
