10 Things You Need For A Golden Globes Watch Party (Slideshow)
Putting together a killer Golden Globes watch party is surprisingly easy to do. Like any party, you need to decide on a theme, dress code, and menu. Ideally, all of these things will involve Hollywood or one of your favorite nominated shows or film, but it doesn't have to.
An A-List Theme
Every decent watch party needs a theme. To make your party stand out, pick your favorite nominated movie or TV show and build a theme around that. You can go simple with a Hollywood-themed La La Land party or get really out there with a Westworld theme, complete with Western wear and more whiskey than you can even imagine.
Ballots
Have a competition to see who can guess the most winners in all of the major categories by having your guests fill out Golden Globes ballots. Make a small betting pool for each category and for the overall winner.
Booze (and Lots of it)
The Golden Globes are infamous for having a the biggest open bar in Hollywood, leading to slurred acceptance speeches, outrageous jokes, and one heck of a viewing experience for those at home. Channel the Golden Globes' spirit with your own open bar, complete with several different kinds of liquor, highly alcoholic beers, and Champagne (of course).

Drinking Games
What are you going to do with all the liquor from your very own open bar? Play drinking games with it, of course. You can take a sip anytime host Jimmy Fallon or a presenter mentions Donald Trump, when an acceptance speech runs long, or when Moonlight predictably (and deservedly) wins a ton of awards. That will get you sufficiently buzzed. You can also pick a celebrity such as Ryan Gosling, Jeffrey Tambor, or Julia Louis-Dreyfus and drink whenever he or she appear on screen. Finish your drink if your chosen actor wins.
Chocolates

This year's Golden Globes nominees are a little short on food-related programming, but there are still plenty of dishes to choose from inspired by nominees. Serve up some lobster rolls in honor of Colin Farrell's nomination for his work in The Lobster. On the TV side, be like "Eleven" from Stranger Things and eat Eggo waffles in massive amounts, or honor Donald Glover's celebrated show Atlanta by serving up some peach desserts.

A Red Carpet
If your party is going to be any level of award-show fabulous, then you obviously need to roll out a red carpet. You can improvise a bit by just using a giant roll of red paper. But, if you don't even want to go that far, create your own step and repeat backdrop (with a party hashtag, duh) and put together a quick and easy photo booth for your shindig.
