The World's Most Extravagant New Year's Eve Celebrations Slideshow

This five diamond restaurant in one of Las Vegas' most luxurious hotels, the Bellagio, is hosting a New Year's Eve gala dinner for those hoping to get lucky in Sin City before the end of 2012. Japanese wagyu filet mignon, center of Alaskan King Crab, along with sautéed day boat scallops will be dished up by executive chef Julian Serrano. The $550 per person mealmay only be the beginning of a New Year's Eve night out in Vegas. Hyde Nightclub will be surely toasting to its first year in business. Perhaps another Jonas Brother or A-list celebrity will make a triumphant return. 

8) The Four Columns Inn, Vermont

For a low key New Year's Eve filled with snow and roaring fires, The Four Columns Inn in Vermont has a three-day package including accomodations, a five-course New Year's Eve dinner as well as a New Year's Day brunch. The menu boasts sauteed wild mushroom and celery leek tart as well as sliced breast of pheasant. The luxury room is $1,350 for the package including all holiday festivities, including champagne and something sweet to end the night. 

7) The Tower Club at Lebua, Bangkok

 The Tower Club at Lebua in Bangkok, Thailand is bringing together the best of both worlds when it comes to dining and celebrating. In Mezzaluna, a nine course tasting menu awaits filled with specialty dishes like wild turbot roasted on the bone, colvert duck breast and leg confit and amedei chocolae for dessert. The meal is priced at THB 23,999 ($783) per person, prepared by the restaurant's renowned twin chefs, Thomas and Mathias Sühring.

6) Sydney Opera House, Sydney, Australia

Go down under to Australia to celebrate New Year's Eve at the iconic Sydney Opera House.  With views of the Syndey Harbour Bridge and the city skyline, guests can dine on an eight-course degustation menu costing a cool $1,100 per person. Beyond a creative culinary menu and wine pairings, the music will be blaring for those looking to cut the rug in the beautifully structured building. 

5) The Delano, Miami

The bright lights of South Beach call to many of those looking to dance the night away before 2013 arrives. At the famous Delano Hotel, there is a four-course dinner at the restaurant, Bianca, that includes a champagne toast and a canapé reception that begins at 9pm. Wondering what's for the main course? Guests have the option of choosing from Brasato al Barolo (braised kobe short rib, braising jus, celery root puree, and micro heirloom carrots), or Polletto al Mattone (crispy local poussin with warm heirloom fingerling potatoes). For those who want to skip the food and bring on the party, tables for the dancing portion of the evening begin at $10,000 at the Delano Beach Club.  Might be a pretty penny, but DJ Ideal & DJ Dave Sol will be spinning all night long.   

4) Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, UAE

Celebrate the end of this year and the beginning of a new one at a beach gala showcasing beautiful Arabian traditions at the Madinat Jumeriah hotel in Dubai. Overlooking the iconic Burj Al Arab, the party features a festive buffet and live entertainment at this black tie affair. The event will set guests back AED 3,500 per person, equivalent to roughly $1,000 US.  

3) Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris

The City of Lights surely knows how to celebrate New Year's Eve in style. The restaurant in the hotel, a Four Seasons property, is located in the heart of the Golden Triangle, one of the city's most upscale shopping districts. Dinner at Le Cinc will cost €950 ($1,257) for their New Year's Eve menu. It will feature some French-inspired cuisine including Brittany lobster roasted with wine, green curry, coco beans and lemon, and duck foie gras and black truffle pie with garden herb vegetables with some of the country's best wine. 

2) The Ritz Carlton, Hong Kong

While the Ritz Carlton properties worldwide don't often disappoint, their location in Hong Kong takes toasting a new year to heightened levels. At the hotel's restaurant, Tosca, the countdown to midnight begins with an eight-course dinner at 10pm, followed by a party that goes until 1am. While the restaurant is named after one of the most beloved operas of all time, the menu will showcase some top notch Southern Italian cuisine, for only $3,288 per guest.

The Dream Hotel Downtown, New York

For a big group with a colossal budget, The Dream Hotel Downtown in New York has it all. For $7,500 a head, guests can party in the chic hotel, but for the next level up, spend$150,000 and a group of 20 can have the "One of a Kind Quest Love" stage front table package. The nightlife package includes 10 bottles of Belvedere and 10 bottles of Veuve Vintage in honor of the holiday.
