Where To Eat Now In New Orleans
It has been 10 years since Hurricane Katrina tore through the city of New Orleans, and while it devastated residents, the soul of the city has continued to thrive. While there is sadly still much work to be done, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the positive and relive a moment in 2013 when we were lucky enough to visit this incredible place.
We spoke with Peter Thriffiley Jr. of Blackened Out Blog, which unfortunately is now defunct, and got his top picks for authentic cuisine in the Big Easy. While he referenced old favorites like Antoine's, he also shared with us newer restaurants and cuisines that are popping up all over this old town. While much has changed since our trip to NOLA, one thing's for sure: We never forgot its spirit.
Be sure to take a moment to remember all of the lives lost during that tragic storm, and to celebrate the surviving culture by checking out some of the best the Big Easy has to offer.
