Where To Celebrate National Margarita Day In New York City
This year, National Margarita Day on Feb. 22 coincidentally falls on hump day, giving you the perfect excuse to head over to the nearest bar or restaurant and sip on the citrus-flavored cocktail to get you through the work week.
In New York City, a city full of endless possibilities, there are also an endless amount of places to drink. To help narrow it down, head over to these places to enjoy this holiday:
Enjoy $8 margarita specials at this McCarren Hotel & Pool restaurant and bar featuring Oleanders' Ultimate Classic Margarita, Coconut Margarita, and Cucumber Jalapeño Margarita. Along with the full dinner menu, the restaurant and bar is also offering Mexican-inspired appetizers from oyster shooters with tequila-lime mignonette to tequila-marinated wings.
Dos Caminos is celebrating National Margarita Day at multiple Manhattan locations with prizes, giveaways, and $12 margarita specials featuring the organic margarita with Casa Noble Crystal Tequila. Other featured tequilas include the Casa Noble Anejo and Casa Noble Reposado.
In addition to tapas and paellas, this West Village restaurant is highlighting its signature Smoky Margarita ($13). This version of the margarita is made with Sombra mezcal to give the cocktail a subtle smoky taste. Tio Pepe is also extending its happy hour from 4 p.m. to close at 11 p.m. just for National Margarita Day.
Stop by The Flying Cock during brunch, lunch, or dinner for its Spicy Habanero Margarita ($11), which is made with agave and habanero-infused tequila, plus a requisite squeeze of fresh lime. Drink well into the night, as this bar doesn't close until 4 a.m.
Jams at the 1 Hotel Central Park
In honor of the holiday, Jams is offering The Deline ($16), a smoky margarita-inspired mezcal cocktail, for one night only. For a more classic cocktail, the JW Margarita by Jonathan Waxman is also available upon request.
This modern Australian restaurant is also joining in on the margarita madness with its Spiced Carrot Margarita ($13). This bright orange cocktail mixes fresh carrot juice with mezcal, lime, chili-infused liqueurs, and cardamom-infused simple syrup for an earthy twist to the classic margarita.
Try the limited edition Platinum "Margarita" Margherita Pizza ($500) at the Mexican-inspired restaurant in New York City's Dream Downtown Hotel, which infuses Patrón's Gran Patrón Platinum and Burdeos tequilas.
