Walmart Still Apologizing After Selling ISIL Flag Cake
Walmart is still apologizing after a store in Louisiana made an ISIL (also known as ISIS) flag cake for a customer, reports ABCNews.
The customer, Chuck Netzhammer, wanted a confederate battle flag cake with "Heritage not hate" on it but was turned down. He was able to get an ISIL cake, however, and took to social media to explain his frustration.
"I went back yesterday and managed to get an ISIS battle flag printed. ISIS happens to be somebody who we're fighting against right now who are killing our men and boys overseas and are beheading Christians," said Netzhammer in a YouTube video.
A Walmart spokesperson told ABC the cake shouldn't have been made and the associate in the store didn't know what the design meant and "made a mistake."
The confederate flag has been banned from Walmart for over a week after the controversy swirling around it. Unfortunately, they didn't inform their employees that terrorist battle flags should also be avoided.
