Urban Food Fest Brings Oktoberfest Street Food To London's Shoreditch District

For three consecutive Saturdays (September 19, September 26, and October 3 from noon to midnight) weekly food market favorite Urban Food Fest will host 15 German-inspired food trucks to celebrate Munich Oktoberfest in the heart of Shoreditch. The events will feature live music, a themed Oktoberfest bar, and plenty of cheerful people roaming about in traditional Germanic outfits.

Oktoberfest food truck specialties, ranging from carnivorous to vegan options, include:

Lederhosen: triple stacked beef & pickle burger

Kafer:  Bavarian cheese Mexican tacos

Hallo:  Vietnamese crispy schnitzel chicken strips

V Corner: German-Italian vegan polenta with chilli

Black Forest:  cherry waffles & apfelstrudel crepes

The Oktoberfest bar will serve a selection of Munich and niche craft beers, ciders, German wines, and prosecco. The cocktail bar will also include specials such as the Wie Gehts (ginger beer and dark rum) and the Dirndl (German red berries and vodka). 

Pro tip: Attendees in themed Oktoberfest garb will receive a free cocktail or beer.
