Los Angeles' Casa Vega Celebrates Its 60th Anniversary With Tacos And Tequila
Mexican restaurant Casa Vega is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a Throwback Thursday tacos & tequila promotion. Every Thursday until June 1, 2016, the landmark eatery will offer guests who order "The Boss" margarita an opportunity to pair it with a 60 cent grilled chicken taco.
The signature "The Boss" margarita is named after Casa Vega founder Ray Vega and is made with Patron Silver Tequila, Patron Citronage, Grand Marnier and fresh lime and sells for $13.50.

Casa Vega's atmosphere is old school with big red vinyl booths, paintings featuring bull fighters, and very dark lighting. Menu highlights include fresh guacamole; chile con queso; nachos; lobster quesadillas; chopped taco salad; tortilla soup; an oven style burrito; burrito ranchero; flautos with chile con queso; the Casa Vega molcajete with flank steak, chicken, shrimp; a chile relleno baked in a special sauce; crab and shrimp enchiladas; huevos rancheros; and churros with cream filling.
Casa Vega is located at 13301 Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks.
