The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua Resort Gets Set To Host The 34th Annual Kapalua Wine & Food Festival This June

The legendary Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua Resort will host the 34th Annual Kapalua Wine & Food Festival presented by Visa Signature from June 11 through 14.  Held at various locations throughout the resort, the four-day festival features celebrity chefs, acclaimed winemakers from throughout the world and Maui's finest culinary talents in a host of fun-filled events and tastings.

This year's inaugural event, "The Grand Tasting," will be held at the Montage Kapalua Bay. The Grand Tasting will be held on the property's ocean front lawn and feature the culinary delights of The Plantation House; Pineapple Grill; Merriman's Kapalua; The Terrace Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua; Kai Sushi at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua; and Montage Kapalua Bay. Lily Meola will provide headline entertainment.

On Friday, wine seminars and tastings focus on Oregon pinot noir including wines from Adelshelm, Gran Moraine, Chapter 24, Methuen Family, and Argyle Wineries and Vineyards.

The afternoon will showcase the "Great Wines Made by Amazing Women Seminar and Tasting" featuring Sara Fowler from Peju Winery, Heidi Bridenhagen from Mac Rostie Winery, Mia Klein from Selene Wines, and Pam Starr from Crocker and Starr and Bridesmaid Winery.

On Saturday, events include seminars on zinfandel and California wineries, a cooking demonstration from chef Charlie Palmer, as well as dinners at Montage Kapalua Bay and The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua.

On Sunday, the "Wine World of Sports" seminar will feature a panel of celebrity athletes that are now in the wine business. Other events include a cooking demonstration by Chef Michael Mina, a cabernet sauvignon tasting and seminar and a grand seafood festival.
