Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival Brings Wine, Jazz, And Food To California Coastal Community In October 2015
On October 2 through 4, 2015, the second-annual Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival will offer guests a chance to experience celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, book signings, mixology classes, interactive wine panels, tasting experiences, and live jazz. Net proceeds from the event will benefit charity Project Hope Alliance.
The festival begins on Friday, October 2 with a launch party and charity event at adjoined venues Oak Grill and Aqua Lounge. On Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, the daytime festival returns to the grounds of the Newport Beach Civic Center.
Over 200 wines will be poured in the Grand Tasting Pavilions, allowing guests to pair gourmet bites with world-class wines.
Celebrity chefs Rick Bayless, Hubert Keller, and Rick Moonen will headline the event with live cooking demos and Top Chef Season 11 finalists Shirley Chung and Louis Maldonado will lead the festival's first Top Chef Home Cook Challenge. Over 30 local Orange County chefs will also offer tastings throughout the event.
A special Riedel Glass seminar will be held on Sunday, October 4, providing information on selecting the perfect wine glass for pinto noirs, cabernet sauvignons, and chardonnays.
