Meet Fat Mo's Burger: Nashville's #1 Burger
Earlier this year, The Daily Meal published our 101 Best Burgers in America for 2015. Building on last year's list, we assembled a poll that included almost 250 burgers from across the United States, from Hollywood, Florida, to Anchorage, Alaska. 70 burger experts then voted for their favorites, and we published the top 101. Two from Nashville made the cut — including last year's winner, Rotier's cheeseburger, but we noticed that there is a new highest-ranked burger from Music City.
At half a pound, Fat Mo's namesake burger is mammoth, yes, but size alone isn't enough to earn a place on our list. Drive-thru and walk-up only, Fat Mo's burgers are a cut above regular fast food — everything is fresh and cooked to order, the portions are enormous, and you'll never walk away with your pockets folded out. All the burgers are served with ketchup, lettuce, mustard, mayonnaise, onions, pickles, tomatoes, and you can add a slice of American cheese, which we highly recommend. It's also a favorite for the non-carnivorous among us — the falafel burger gets high marks from Nashville's vegetarians.
The Fat Mo's Burger is so good, it came in at #82 on our list, out-scoring last year's top Nashville burger, Rotier's cheeseburger, which fell to #89 from #48 in 2014. This means that not only is Fat Mo's namesake burger one of the 82 best in the country, according to our experts, it's the very best burger in Nashville.
