Mario Batali Ditches Orange Crocs For A Pair Of Yeezys
It's safe to say that chef Mario Batali has an interesting signature clothing style — fleece vest, shorts, and Crocs. Alas, the 57-year-old has officially taken a break from the orange rubber shoes to sport a more fashionable pair of kicks: the Adidas Kanye West Yeezys.
"I've ended the Crocs relationship, and I've moved on to Yeezys," he said in an interview with GQ. "Crocs are very comfortable — there's nothing wrong with Crocs — it's just that I'm moving on."
The TV personality's break-up with Crocs comes after a long history of representing the brand. The Colorado-based shoe supplier even made multiple versions of "Mario Batali Edition" footwear. There's no saying what he'll do with his existing collection, which includes over 200 pairs of bright orange Crocs he purchased just last year after the retailer announced they'd discontinued the color.
Batali, who currently co-hosts the ABC talk show The Chew, claims he only travels with one pair of shoes —Yeezys — which he says he will now wear "everywhere." For more food-related fashion and to see what TV chefs are wearing, check out celebrity chefs and their hats.
