Look At The Insane Calorie Counts Of Your Favorite Chain Restaurant Dishes
Chain restaurants have a certain pleasing familiarity to them. An Applebee's in Delafield, Wisconsin, is going to provide you with essentially the exact same experience as one in Parsippany, New Jersey. But standardizing menus across the entire system comes with one disadvantage: It allows anyone to be able to look up calorie counts online. We tracked down the calorie counts of some of the most popular dishes across 10 major chains, and, well, it ain't pretty.
TGI Friday’s: Jack Daniel’s Ribs
Want a full rack of Friday's Jack Daniel's ribs with dinner? That'll set you back 1,590 calories, 71 grams of fat, and 24 grams of saturated fat.

Olive Garden: Tour of Italy

Applebee’s: Chicken Tenders Platter
The chicken tenders platter at Applebee's, which comes with fries and a side of cole slaw, contains 1,160 calories, 66 grams of fat, and 12 grams of saturated fat.
Chili’s: Classic Beef Nachos
Nachos are a no-brainer at Chili's where the classic beef version contains chips individually topped with beef, cheese, jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and guacamole. If you eat all of the eight chips in each order, you'll be downing 1,590 calories, 83 grams of fat, and 44 grams of saturated fat.
Red Lobster: Admiral’s Feast
The famed Admiral's Feast at Red Lobster comes with shrimp, bay scallops, clam strips, and flounder, all breaded and fried. It also comes with 1,420 calories, 79 grams of fat, and nine grams of saturated fat.
IHOP: New York Cheesecake Pancakes
Pancakes are (clearly) a top seller at IHOP, and the New York Cheesecake Pancakes, which are studded with cheesecake pieces and topped with strawberries and "whipped topping," are very popular. Unfortunately, they're also one of the unhealthiest breakfast dishes on the menu, with 1,030 calories, 42 grams of fat, ad 20 grams of saturated fat, not to mention 51 grams of sugar.
Outback Steakhouse: Bloomin’ Onion
The notorious Bloomin' Onion is one of the most legendary chain restaurant dishes ever invented, and also one of the unhealthiest. The appetizer, which is an entire sliced, battered, and fried onion, contains 1,954 calories, 155 grams of fat, an astronomical 7.4 grams of trans fat, 56 grams of saturated fat, and 3,841 milligrams of sodium. Avoid.
Uno Chicago Grill: Chicago Classic Individual Size Deep Dish
Uno's Chicago Classic is a deep dish pizza made with crumbled sausage, chunky tomato sauce, and mozzarella. An individual-sized one contains 2,300 calories, 164 grams of fat, and 53 grams of saturated fat. Want to eat an entire full-sized deep-dish one by yourself? That one packs in 4,490 calories and 319 grams of fat.
Ruby Tuesday: Colossal Burger
The Colossal Burger, the biggest burger on Ruby Tuesdays' menu, is made with two half-pound patties and American and Monterey Jack cheese. This monster contains 1,697 calories and 96 grams of fat, and that's without the fries!
Cheesecake Factory: Louisiana Chicken Pasta
Cheesecake Factory is notorious for its huge portions and monster calorie counts, and its popular Louisiana Chicken Pasta contains parmesan-crusted (aka deep-fried) chicken cutlets served over a mound of creamy bow-tie pasta with mushrooms, peppers, and onion. A serving of this (which looks more like a family-size platter) will set you back an astonishing 2,050 calories, 58 grams of saturated fat, and 1,940 milligrams of sodium. The chain curiously doesn't provide info on non-saturated fat content.
