Kellogg's Hosted Its First-Ever Holiday Bake-Off, And Here's The Winning Recipe
Kellogg's just hosted its first-ever Holiday Baking Challenge judged by "Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi. Four bakers from across the country participated in the affair, which took place at the Kellogg's Café in New York City on December 13. The objective was to create a seasonal tart using cereal as the secret ingredient.

The winning treat was made by Sara Mellas from Oakland, California, who created a Pear Berry Tart made with Frosted Flakes incorporated into the flour, used in the crust and also mixed in with the heavy cream and cheese-mascarpone center. On top, she used pear, strawberry, raspberry and more dry Frosted Flakes.
The winner was treated to a Tony the Tiger trophy and an "exclusive dining experience." Her recipe will also be featured for a limited time only at the Kellogg's Café located at 31 East 17th St. in Union Square. To recreate the recipe at home, follow this link.
For good measure, runners up include Lisa Keys with a Frosted Mini Wheats meringue roll, Juliana Evans with a holiday cream puff trio using Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops and Raisin Bran, and Vincenzo Vaccaro with a holiday cake tower. Good thing dieting before the holidays is a bad idea, am I right?
