Jamie Oliver's First Restaurant In France Dissed By Diners

Jamie Oliver's new takeaway restaurant at Nice's Côte d'Azur International Airport, Jamie's Deli, is receiving heavy criticism from customers via Twitter for its poor service and bad food.

One Twitter user wrote that the restaurant is "bland" and "disappointing"; another called it overpriced and described the coffee as cold and croissants as rubbery.

The restaurant — which opened in June alongside a Jamie's Italian location, making them the celebrity chef's first two restaurants in France — sells coffee, cakes, salads, and sandwiches, which according to the deli's website, are meant to "tantalise passenger taste buds."

However customers are begging Oliver to pay this location a visit and correct the food and the service.

"Hey @jamieoliver," tweeted @r0bking. "The team could do with a little more training at Jamie's Deli Nice Airport, the service is a mess."

"Cracking ham & cheese toastie but cold coffee and hard pain au chocolat at Nice Airport Jamie's Deli. Time for a visit @jamieoliver" tweeted @RustyF.

This is not the kind of news we are used to hearing about one of America's most successful chefs, but hopefully the U.K.-born chef can make his Nice location nice again.
