Grab An Ice Cold Beer This Summer At San Francisco's Favorite Chocolatier
There will be a 13 week long-community beer garden sponsored by both Bay Area-based Lagunitas Brewing Company and Hint Water. Ghirardelli Square has revamped its image from a historic iconic San Franciscan landmark to a vivid and hip urbanized hangout spot. The festivities began during Memorial Day Weekend on May 26th so it's not too late — the party's just beginning! The beer garden will be open Thursday-Sunday until after Labor Day Weekend from 12:00-7:00 p.m. and there will be live music playing 3:00-6:00 pm.
The beer garden is located outdoors in Ghirardelli Square's West Plaza. Not only will you get to take in the majestic view of the San Francisco Bay, but you will get to do it while giving back to the local community with an ice cold beer at hand. 50 percent of proceeds from the beer garden will benefit an array of local charitable organizations from SOMA Arts to the San Francisco Parks Alliance.
Bring family and friends to gather together and unwind with Lagunitas beers on tap for $7, including IPA, Pils, Lucky 13, and Sumpin' Sumpin' while nibbling on complimentary peanuts and pretzels. Better yet, the outdoor space allows picnicking and entry is free! Live music will be provided by a rotating selection of local Bay Area artists and bands.
"We're thrilled with the opportunity to extend our ability to help additional non-profits away from our home breweries," said Karen Hamilton, director of communications for Lagunitas Brewing Company. "With a number of charitable organizations benefiting from the community beer garden activation, many different causes will be helped and we're very excited about this prospect."
