Eat This Prawn Toast From David Chang And Daniel Humm, Support The Madison Square Boys And Girls Club
From August 11 until September 30, both the NoMad Bar and Momofuku Ssäm Bar will serve a special dish to benefit the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club, an organization that provides educational and personal resources to New York City youth in need.
The dish, tomato and prawn toast, features Hawaiian prawns, heirloom tomatoes, charred sweet corn, fresh basil, crème fraîche dressing, pickled shallots, and David Chang's Ssäm Sauce, served on open-faced pieces of toasted bread.
Created as a collaboration between Chang and Daniel Humm, the dish will be available through the end of September at both restaurants. For each time the $19 toast is ordered, $2 will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club.
The Madison Square Boys and Girls Club provides afterschool and summer youth development programs for children between the ages of 6 and 18 in underserved neighborhoods of New York City. The program has clubhouses in Brooklyn and the Bronx that help young people get the most of their education and cultivate their talents.
