Donate Money To The (RED) Campaign Against AIDS, And You Could Win A Bike Ride And Ice Cream Date With Bono
As part of Bono's (RED) campaign to raise money for AIDS research and prevention, the U2 star is offering a rather unusual prize to anyone who wants to donate — an ice cream date with Bono himself.
The (RED) Shopathon campaign, which launched on World AIDS Day, December 1, will last for two months — after which some lucky winner, plus a guest, will be invited to join Bono on a bike ride through New York City's Central Park, and then, "provided you all survive," Bono will then treat everyone to ice cream. The winner and their guest will be provided with flight and four-star hotel arrangements.
A donation of $10 will grant you 100 chances to ride bikes with Bono, but you can go all the way up to $75,000, which guarantees a meet and greet with Bono, VIP concert tickets, handwritten song lyrics, plus 750,000 chances for that special bike ride.
There are of course, other special Shopathon prizes you can enter to win with your donation. If, for example, you prefer Snoop Dogg, he'll hang out with you in Colorado at the "Merry Jane Wellness Retreat," and if you want to hang out with George Clooney, you can enter to win the chance to "meet George Clooney and literally experience his compliments for 45 seconds of bliss," followed by a Champagne toast.
