Buy Your Tickets Now For PROST!, Showcasing New York's Best Home-Brewed German-Style Beers
New York's homebrew scene is definitely having a moment. Throughout the city, hundreds of amateur brewers are concocting beer in their own homes that rival those produced by top breweries, but sadly, most of those beers can only be sampled if you're a friend of the brewer. Thankfully, tasting events and competitions have begun to pop up, and just in time for the beginning of autumn, you can try homebrewed German-style lagers and ales produced by 20 members of the Brewminaries homebrew club at PROST!, being held Saturday September 26 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Brooklyn's Industry City Distillery.
In the few months since its founding at Brooklyn homebrew shop Bitter & Esters, the Brewminaries homebrew club has grown to more than 50 members, and has already begun collaborating with local breweries, including Rockaway Brewery. Not only will this event be a great way to sample some beers that you literally can't find anywhere else and talk shop with the brewers, your $35 ticket (which gets you unlimited tastings of the beers on offer) helps the club keep going strong.
If you're a fan of German pilsners, schwarzbiers, doppelbocks, märzens, and weizens, and want to support the city's burgeoning homebrew scene, this is one event not to miss. Get your tickets here.
