Alton Brown Joins Umami Burger's Artist Series With Fried Egg-Topped Alton Burger With Coffee Ketchup

Food Network host and culinary encyclopedia Alton Brown is the latest celebrity to join forces with Umami Burger as part of its Artist Series, and for his burger, Alton went with a Southern breakfast theme.

Featuring a special beef patty made with bacon lardons, the Alton Burger is topped with Cheddar, miso-maple bacon, smashed cheesy tater tots, a fried egg, fried sage, and a special house-made coffee ketchup. Once the Alton Burger reaches your table, a knife will be used to spear the egg yolk for extra runniness.

"The Alton Burger is an homage to my favorite meal, breakfast, which can be consumed at any time of day," Brown said in a statement.

One dollar from each $14 Alton Burger sold between March 14 and April 24 will be donated to the Make-A-Wish foundation, an organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening conditions.
