Dwight Howard Treats Strangers To Lunch
Basketball player Dwight Howard was in Houston Tuesday, where he met fans — and bought a lucky group of them lunch.
Howard, who recently announced on his Twitter account that he will be leaving the Los Angeles Lakers and joining the Houston Rockets, was allegedly in Houston for a physical appointment, according to Fox26's Mark Berman, but he took time out of his visit to make friends with the lunch crowd at local Southern-food favorite The Breakfast Klub, which has been called "one of the best breakfast restaurants in the nation" by Good Morning America, USA Today, Forbes, and others. And, as David Elster, one of the people eating at the restaurant at the time, tweeted, "Dwight Howard bought the whole restaurant lunch at The Breakfast Klub. Amazing welcome to Houston."
According to NBC Sports, Howard will sign his four-year, $88 million contract with the Houston Rockets today.
