Dunkin' To Release Cookie Dough Donut For Valentine's Day
The Daily Meal has exclusively learned that on January 28th Dunkin Donuts will be rolling out several brand new menu items created especially for Valentine's Day: a Cookie Dough donut with buttercream filling, topped with chocolate icing and chocolate chips, and Brown Sugar Cinnamon coffee and lattes, available hot or iced. They'll also be bringing back their heart-shaped Brownie Batter donut, and these willl all be available until the end of February.
"Our new donut uses the unique texture of buttercream filling, in combination with the chocolate dipping icing and chocolate chips, to create a wonderful texture and buttery, vanilla flavor similar to cookie dough," Stan Frankenthaler, Dunkin' Brands' Executive Chef and Vice President of Product Innovation, told us. "We really focused on creating a donut that would give our guest the familiar experience from our youths of getting the mixing spoon from the bowl after you and your family made cookies."
As for the new coffee flavor, "The new Dunkin' Donuts Brown Sugar Cinnamon coffee and lattes contain a warm flavor that combines the richness of brown sugar with the sweet spice of cinnamon, partnering two traditionally loved bakery flavors," Frankenthaler added. "These coffee and lattes are made with real brown sugar; the hot and iced lattes are then sprinkled with a cinnamon topping."
The new flavors will be hitting the shelves on Tuesday, and will be available through February, while supplies last.
