Domino's Launches Fried Chicken-Crust Pizzas

Domino's cuts the carbs out of the traditional doughy pizza with the new "specialty chicken," which is basically chicken-crust pizza or fried chicken chunks topped with cheese, sauce, and other pizza toppings. The new menu item is their first change since the handmade pan pizzas were introduced in 2012. The four flavors offered on the menu are crispy bacon & tomato, spicy jalapeño-pineapple, classic hot buffalo, and sweet BBQ bacon.

"Our new Specialty Chicken is one of the most creative, innovative menu items we have ever had," said Russell Weiner, Domino's Pizza chief marketing officer. "Our pizza chefs have taken chicken to a whole new level, using our unique ingredients to create these four bold flavors. There's nothing quite like Domino's Specialty Chicken on the market today."

Hungry fans can celebrate today by being one of the first 25,000 lucky pizza lovers to enter Domino's Facebook contest, and they will receive a $5.99 specialty chicken of their choosing.
