DIY Trick-Or-Treat Bag
Before the Halloween festivities begin on Oct. 31, there is still plenty of time to have fall holiday fun with the little ones. Get them excited for trick-or-treating by helping them create their own custom trick-or-treat bags. And if you love the idea but lack the crafty know-how, don't fret! We have an easy project for you that will be great for you to pull off (and look fabulous) without tons of intense work!
Paper Pumpkin Patch Bag
What You'll Need:
- Brown paper bag (with handles)
- Orange and black construction paper
- White and black Crayon (plus any of their favorite colored ones)
- Glue stick
- Scissors
Have the kids draw pumpkins of all different sizes on the orange construction paper. Cut them out. Next, have them use the white crayon and have them draw the pumpkin's faces, using simple shapes. Cut them out. Have the kids arrange and decorate their paper pumpkins using the cut-out shapes and glue. While they dry, have the kids color the background of the pumpkin patch on the plain bag. Once they are done designing them, have them glue their little pumpkins onto their patch scene.
Of course, this project can be amended to include any of your kid's favorite Halloween characters. Try making a witch, black cat, or their favorite scary monster! They'll be proud of their work come Halloween, and you'll be thankful that you won't have to lose another pillowcase to this holiday!
