Dating Site For Wine Lovers Launches

VineaLove launched Sunday, claiming the title of "the first international dating website and social networking for wine lovers." Former wine journalist Françoise Pauly founded the site after deciding wine lovers needed a venue to bond over their passion with others and potentially find love. Once fully launched by the end of the summer, the site will host different services like sending a potential date a glass of wine, networking with wine shops and wine bars, and organizing tasting events. There is also a forum and blog where people can get advice about pairings for food and give suggestions for places to grab a glass when traveling.

Winos worldwide have already subscribed to the temporarily free service; the first 1,000 users to sign up will have a free membership while later subscribers will pay an estimated $20 fee. The site can currently be navigated in English, French, Italian, Japanese, and Turkish.
