Cornucopia Food & Wine: November 10–13, 2011
With fall comes any number of harvest festivals celebrating the flavors of the season — whether it's an apple farm opening its doors or wineries that invite adoring imbibers to peek behind the scenes during the crush. And in Whistler, that festival is the appropriately named Cornucopia.
The weekend-long festival's calendar is packed with food and wine events featuring local restaurants, producers, breweries, and wineries — from chef's luncheons and winemaker's dinners to the Bubbles + Oceans after party.
Wine events will showcase wines from Spain, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Portugal, South Africa, and, of course, Canada, and there will also be educational events on chardonnays, shiraz, and malbecs. Then, food events like the Chef's Trip to the Farm take festival-goers to the Sturdy North Arm Farm outside of Whistler, and the Artisan Slow Food Market lets you sample flavors from various boutique farms, wineries, and restaurants' stands.
