This Summer, Put Nathan's On Your List
After repairing damages caused by Superstorm Sandy in October 2012, the famed hot dog stand Nathan's Famous stand opened its doors in time for the Memorial Day weekend, and should absolutely be on your radar for places to visit this summer. Employees and customers celebrated its reopening as well as the addition of a new clam bar, CBS New York reported.
"The newly opened clam bar is very similar to a clam bar that existed in the 1950s and 60s – featuring raw clams, oysters, crab meat, shrimp, soups, corn, and a variety of beer," a representative from Nathan's Famous told The Daily Meal. Despite CBS New York's report that the restaurant is selling wine, she told us that "there is no wine being served or offered."
Customers can now admire the new renovations as they dine on hot dogs and clams. Nathan's Famous expects to continue its annual July 4th Hot Dog Eating Contest and have a great summer season.
