CNN Picks Best US Golf Resorts For Father's Day

CNN has released their list of the best golf resorts in the world, spanning from Portugal to South Africa. Four of these luxurious and adventurous locations are in the US. The rankings were based on four factors: the quality of the golfing, the quality of the accommodations, the quality of the food and drink available, and the quality and variety of other facilities available.

The Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina was noted for its steep golf history and courses home to many tournaments. The Carolina Dining Room is famous for their breakfast buffet featuring Southern favorites as well as their signature dry seasoning rub on hand-selected aged beef.

Also making the list is The Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina is known for the Ocean Course and The Sanctuary Hotel, home to three restaurants featuring Southern favorites. The Ocean Room, the resorts signature steakhouse, is the only steakhouse in the US to earn both a Forbes 4 Star and AAA 4 Diamond Rating.

The Pebble Beach Resort in California is home to one of the best-known courses in the country and breathtaking views. The Tap Room, a steakhouse on the property, is known for their selection of draft and bottled beer, vintage wines, and spirits.

Lastly, the list mentions The American Club in Wisconsin. This northern golf resort offers four courses and the hotel The American Club, a Forbes Five-Star Resort Hotel and a AAA Five Diamond Resort Hotel. The famous Immigrant Restaurant creates a magical experience, composed of six rooms each decorated in the style of Wisconsin settlers – French, Dutch, German, Normandy, Danish, and English.
