Chocolate Abuelita (Mexican Hot Chocolate)
Warm up to a cup of this Mexican hot chocolate on a cold fall day. It's also perfect to serve as a festive drink in honor of Dia de los Muertos.

Ingredients
- 4 cup whole milk
- 8 ounce chocolate, abuelita brand®
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 cup water
Directions
- In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients and place over medium heat, whisking constantly, until hot but not boiling, about 8 minutes.
- Serve in a mug with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon if desired.
